Any input on my latest Log?

Hello All,

I just got my AEM EMS setup tuned. This is my first datalog, driving around town. I am just looking for some feedback from some experienced tuners. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Here is my setup:

AEM EMS, speed density (AEM 3.5bar)
Buschur turbo back, no cat
Stock turbo,
Stock 02 sensors,
RMR intercooler pipes, intake
Stock injectors
Walbro 255 pump

Thanks,

EVOlutionary

timing is too low in boost, afr is too lean in boost. Afr is too rich during cruise. Timing looks way too high during cruise aswell.

Thanks for the input everyone.

At about 4:50 and 6:25 I have two full throttle runs to around peak RPMs.

Widebandphillip - are you running the AEM on your EVO? Could you share some general targets for each of the items you listed?

For the knock control, is that something I can just "turn on", or is there somewhere to set up parameters for when and how much timing to pull or fuel to add? If so, any suggestions?

By the way, the car seems to be running pretty well. Just hard to start cold. Thanks again!

you can turn it on, but it will use the stock threshold which is ok but not the same for every car. its better then nothing for sure. the stock settings will work but you might want to read up on it and add a couple more degrees of timing for it to pull per volt over threshold and total it can pull. that extra timing is just incase you get some bad gas. now on the cold start, hook up your laptop and go to the warm up enrichment graph. if you have a wide band it's easier, but if you don't, start the car up and if the car won't idle, add fuel in the area that the square icon that follows the engine temp and start again. add in increments of 5% or so. it will eventually start to run smoothly on its own. now just follow the icon and if the car starts to sputter again add fuel in that area and follow it all the way down to 0% around 170 degrees or so. this is how i set mine up. your enrichment starts at around 40%, mine after tuning the warmup is at 60-70% enrichment tapering. start up afr's are around 12.0 and taper to 14-14.5 at full temp. p/m me if you have any other questions. nick.

I don't have an aem, i have a utec. I can give you some pointers though. Timing can't really be given advice on. It must be found on a load bearing dyno. But start off conservative like 3 degrees at peak torque and about 14 degrees at redline. Afr should be around 11.3-11.5 in boost. Afr during cruise should be around 14.5-14.7. Timing for cruise again can only be found on the dyno, but usually it's around 30-mid 30's.
