Problems getting started
Problems getting started
My car is stock and when I tried to get my car going on stock calibration it cranks but never really fired up. It did let a poof out the tailpipe though when I let the key go back from cranking and back to the "on" position. It wasn't necessarily a good "poof" and kind of sounded like a "knock" through the exhaust.

What is your a/f's at startup? Could be dumping too much fuel at start. What happens when you at startup go 100% throttle to clear a flood situation? (Be sure to let go of the gas if the car starts)

Isnt the stock calibration just a base map that will HELP you get your car started and running. I dont know what you plan to do about tuning the car - but have you considered taking it to a professional AEM factory tuner?

I spoke with an AEM techy and he said it is EXACTLY the same as the mitsu stock calibration, if that is the case and your car is bone stock then the "still take it to a tuner" warning is mostly for liability protection

You are having idle issues. You really need to take your car to a competant AEM tuner.
Have you printed the manual? Read it? Understand it? If you're not willing to do at least this then you're going to have problems. My car is heavily modified and I used this same start up cal, well mine is MAP. Fired up the first time perfectly. Now I am just going through and dialing in the appropriate parameters for my motor and turbo size. You dont need to take it to a tuner if you understand what you're doing first.
Or you could just take it to a tuner.
