Bought the Radioshack one and it didnt work.....thats 2 now and no luck

 

i was having lots of problems with this 2
i bought a serial to usb from toshiba and it doesnt stay connected
but i update to v1.19 software and the usb works fine for me now
just try that first before buying anymore serial to usb just want to let u guys know
late

 

Make sure you download the software. For some reason I had to use the disk twice with the EMS but after the second time it works just fine.

 

weird. the radio shack one works fine for me. did you tell the aem software to use the right port?

IOGEAR works everytime, and is what AEM will tell you to use if you "know" somebody there.

 

yeah i got my 40 dollar one brom best uy and so far, no luck. i have version 1.19 also. this is getting frustrating but i am going to try the radio shack one maybe.

You guys that are having problems with your cables: Are you downloading and installing the drivers for them? I don't care if your compy recognizes them or not, try downloading the drivers. It's made a difference on lots of cables, or so I've read.

 

I have the Dynex from best buy, came with drivers works perfect on vista.

 

+1 for me, zero issues...

 

we the tuners in Puerto Rico use the Keyspan,works on all ecus ,i mean all of them,also fta receivers,widebands,everything.

 

i bought the one from best buy!! tried connecting it and it says "failer to connect with ecu" so its the connector right??
