will anyone help?

i am trying to help my friend get his AEM going on his '03 EVO. he has 880cc injectors, fuel pump, FPR, baschur racing exhaust, manual boost controler, bigger fmic, baschur intake, greddy bov, and an act/ fidanza setup. would any of you please post a base map that could make his car idle ok. we cant even get it to start with the evo 8 MAF map on the plug-n-play AEM. any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance.

I'd make sure your initial parameters are set up. I've never had a problem at least getting it to start and idle off a basemap even if it is a little choppy.

You'll want to make sure parameters like injectors (specific to your size and manuf.), early crank sync (should be set to 'on'), and inj tooth time (should be 500ms) are set correctly. If you go to AEM's web site that stuff is well described in the READ THIS FIRST! threads which accompany each specific car's portion of the forums.

thanks, we checked all of that stuff this afternoon. still no luck. my friend is going to head over to slowboy racing tomm. those guys are pretty cool to him, hopefully they can hook him up. i dont know why he doesnt just wait till all of his parts are on before we get it going. he wants to bring it to AMS sometime within the next month once he gets his 35r, cams, cam gears, pistons, rods, timing belt, exhaust manifold, and some other stuff i cant think of right now. thanks for your help anyway.

Install a map and iat sensor - then PM Sean Ivey (Sean I) he will make you a base map for your car.. so you can drive it to New Jersey to him and he will tune it for you. The right way.
