I need a temperary map

Hey everyone,

We are finally finished with my turbo project, however I have one last kink in this whole thing. I won’t be able to get tuned for a couple of weeks. We were thinking of doing the auto tune feature to get the car to a drivable state, but I would like to see if anyone here with an AEM EMS can post up their map if it is close and will work so that I can incorporate that into my set up until I can get tuned. I only want to make this drivable. I am not going to be getting into a lot of boost. So if someone can please help me out I would really appreciate it. The boost will be set low. I just don’t want to blow the motor.

The current set up is:
3'' turbo back
5 bar map sensor
e-boost
264 intake
272 exhaust
1000cc injectors
255 fuel pump
GT35R
Neisi FMIC
upper and lower 2.5'' ic pipes
no MAF
stock plugs, ignition

thanks,

caelin~

In need of a map

Hey locam, whats up. I just received my AMS gt35r kit with AEM EMS with there intercooler, all of which will be installed next week. Our mods are almost similar. I too will need a temporary map. I am working with atlantic motor sports in MD, to get my car up and running, and have Sean Ivey tune the car.

Im assuming its a plug in play unit in which case aem would supply a basemap for a stock evo. I would use that map and you could do the autotune feature to make sure the a/f is safe to get around but don't plan on boosting on the basemap, at all.

Yes it is the plug and play unit. I didnt think of calling AEM for an evo base map. Thats a good idea. If anyone however has a map in the ball park I would like to throw that on there so that I can ensure that I have safe AFR's.

Thanks for the responces.

Markmsk: I will call AMS as well and see if perhaps they can send me a base map that I can use for the time being.

if you loaded the software on your machine then you loaded the basemaps as well. should be under c:>program files>aem>aem pro>startup calibrations>mitsu-dsm> either 1313 map or 1313 maf depending on your configuration

you'll need quite a bit of tweaking from there scale the maps for the 5 bar map sensor....injector battery offset for the 1000's....scaling the map from 560's to 1000's....basemap is setup for the stock turbo.....etc.

If you shoot me a pm with your email addy I have a map that is close to your setup... of course it would only be to start the car and not do any full throttle pulls, but your welcome to use it to get around.
