Compression numbers on built engine.

I did a dry compression test after driving the car for about 35 minutes. These are the numbers I got on the cylinders with the throttle open
#1 126 #2 122 #3 120 #4 120

Mivec head has S2 cams beehive springs & retainers. Block has turbo tuff I beams, and wiseco 1400 HD 8.5:1 pistons

are these normal numbers with mivec, bigger cams, and 8.5:1 pistons? I was expecting higher numbers.

Normal for a low compression piston.
My BR built 2.0 (from back in like 2014) has very similar results.
On my X when I ran 10.0:1 pistons it would read 150+ cold lol

Those numbers aren’t surprising given your setup. With 8.5:1 pistons, you’ve already lowered static compression compared to stock, so cranking pressure will naturally drop. Add S2 cams, which usually have more duration and overlap, and you bleed off even more cylinder pressure during cranking. That combination almost always reads lower on a compression gauge.
