The HKS DLI II optimizes the explosion consequently aiding to burn the mixture in a more perfect fashion. It creates kind of the "perfect" combination of elements(stronger spark) for the best performance.

It has been already proven power wise not only in the Dyno by Al but also by many other customers.

I agree with you (I have one on my car) but I feel it will not help him that much on his start -up. With the higher boost yes.

You dont REALLY need the DLI unless you have symptoms of breakage(ignition) on high boost... With the AEM EMS cold start might suck at times but with a little tweaking you can have almost perfect cold starts (it took me a few days of trial and error every morning but got the cold starts almost perfect)

as for the DLI it does help..

I consider the DLI and a Walbro must haves for cars with the EMS. I know my car developed a soft misfire once the coils got hot until I added the DLI.

@ 30psi you will have misfires with the stock ignition. So, you either buy one of the little boxes. Or you gap the plugs to .022 or .020. You will find out that gapping that low every time gets old.

I run mine gapped at .028 (Dont change the gap from what they come with) and I run it close to 30psi. The ignition does break up after about 6 full 0-140 pulls. If I gap it lower the plugs last much longer.

I have stock ignition down to the wires.

Im sure the DLI-II gets rid of this problem but for me... I could buy alot of sparkplugs for the same price
