gas tank level reads low w/aem ecu?

ever since i installed my aem, when my gas gauge reads empty i still 2 gallons left in the tank? I can only put in 11 gallons when the gauge is on "E".

is there a fuel level gauge calibration somewhere in the cal file?

i searched the 200 + page .pdf & I didnt find anything.

There is a specific pin that needs to be removed because it interferes with the Gas Tank signal.

I think its 74, search the AEM forums, I know it's there.

Aby,check your post in AEM Forums as I provided a link for your answer and yes,^^^^^^^
is correct as pin #74 needs to be removed for ecm connector as it is an output for EGT #1
hope this helps you out.

That's great info. My car has been doing this for a year ever since I got the EMS. Didn't worry me too much so I never messed with trying to figure it out. Sometimes I have about 4 gallons left when it hits the empty mark. I've gotten pretty good at estimating when it is almost empty. I've put 13.8 gallons in before, and have never run out of gas yet!

Pulling the pin out is the easy part, finding out about this "flaw" was the problem.
Unplug connector, unlock pins by prying up on white lock(entire length of connector),it only pulls up about 1/16",then stick a pin in hole just under pin and push on pin in then pull gently on wire and it will come unlocked and pull right out.Hope this helps. If any problems, just call me,you know my number(hint: traded t-bodys on the exit off of i-5 by disney )
