hey guys very soon i will be switching over to aem ems..now my ? is right now i currenty run a bltiz sbc ebc..now i was wondering if u can run that with the ems??..if not what would u guys recommend? i really dont want to run a mbc

 

Seems like you would want the AEM ECU to control boost since that is what it was designed to do. By allowing the ECU to control boost it will be able to adjust it according to safety parameters you tune in. (i.e. pull boost under high knock or undesireable A/F ratio)

I am sure you can run an EBC with AEM. However, in the event of a condition observed by the ECU the EBC will not react and this may put in a catastrophic engine failure condition.

I have heard mixed reviews about the AEM controlling boost.

I use a HKS EVC-V with my AEM EMS and it works just fine.

I am thinking about switching it over to AEM, but will leave the EVC in place for at least a few weeks until I decide if I like it or not.

 

AMS uses the AEM unit on the shop drag car... it obviously can't be THAT bad....

If I had EMS I would use it!

 

the AEM solenoid controls taper WAY better than my profec-II did.

its a pretty flat boost line.
