Question

Hi to all

I'm planing to put an aem computer 1313 to an evo8 2003. Do I need to change the map sensor of the engine or it's just put it on.

Thanks.

Answer:

You have to add a map sensor, and an IAT sensor. And do you have an EMS yet? Im selling mine, https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=223769

I'm running with the stock computer but my adds are:
HKS 272,264 cams
HKS Cam gears
HKS blow off
3" exhaust
eboost controller
arp head studs
reflash

where can i find those parts that i need?

I already have an aem 1313.

Buschur has them. I converted over using only the aem sensors. I also didnt need the GM boost solenoid. The stock one worked fine for me. Ditch that eboost controller...it not needed. Buschur will push the 5 bar map sensor but if you plan on staying with the stock turbo I recommend the 3.5 bar, it will have better resolution for daily driving.

I would also recommend upgrading your fuel pump and injectors at the same time. With just a TBE and k&N cone filter my car reached 93%IDC and it eventually led to a fuel pump problem which blew my motor. These parts are necessary when switching to the AEM IMO.

sorry for that part, I also have a fuel pump walbro 255. So many things in my head and sometimes I forgot things. The car made at the dyno 340 hp. Never take it to the tracks.

Also what I'm planing to do is first put on the aem and later on I already have some mayor modifications to the engine....
A:
gt30
1000cc inyectors
exhaust manifold.

Right now it's running with the turbo of the 2005 models at 20 psi of boost.

I already tunned and evo with and aem and it work perfect. That car in particulary have...

gt 35
272 cams
springs, retainers
3" exhaust
exhaust manifold
external waste gate
1000cc inyectors
intake manifold
2 fuel pumps
braider 8 fuel lines from tank to fuel rail
wiseco pistons
eagle rods
arp head studs

it's in break in right now but i left it at 21 psi of boost. As soon as it's done for some miles on it will go to the dyno to boost it up a little bit of at least what the owner wants.

you don't need a map sensor unless you want to ditch your MAF. You can make more power without the MAF, but the car will run fine with the AEM and all of the stock sensors.

I honestly think your car has too much timing.
