Cold weather = car won't pull @ WOT?

Curious if anyone has had this kind of problem. When the weather drops below 75 or so, the car seems to hit a brick wall at WOT and around 23-26psi. It kind of feels like compressor surge but the sound is coming out of the exhaust and not the engine. It's just a fast sputtering noise and the car just doesn't pull. This does not happen in warmer weather typically above 75 degrees.

It's weird to think that when I'm at 26psi, the car just sputters and doesn't pull. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I've looked at the logs and I just don't see anything weird. No timing being pulled, very low knock, good a/f ratio (11.0 - 11.3), boost around 23-26. The car does run 100% alky but I didn't have this issue before the AEM unit and still had the alky. The logs do show the alky firing around 21psi.

- AEM Sensors?
- BOV?
- AEM Unit itself?
- ?
- ?

Thanks for any feedback,
Mike

I'm chasing the same type of funny misfire. I'm flashed and as the weather gets cooler here in Cle.the misfires get worse.

Try basics...

I have a DLI II and just got a new wiring harness. (didn't work)

spark plugs (I run BR8ES .025)
spark plug wires
or, when Ive really been at a loss I dial 440-839-1900 They are always helpful.

Good luck!

Dadriva... Is that what you would call the issue? A missfire? Wouldn't I see something like that in the logs and if so, where would I look? I know I was throwing a CEL for missfire before the AEM but I wasn't getting this sputtering issue when it happened. Only now with the AEM am I'm getting it???

I bought new plugs and gapped them .024 but I didn't get any new spark plug wires. Would wires make a difference in cooler weather?

I'm hoping to run up and see David when the temperature is nice and cool that way he can hear the problem actually occuring. Seems like every time I'm up there, the weather is nice, sunny, and warm and the car has no issues and the tune is "Right on".

Thanks for the feedback!
