CEL as a Knock light

Just wanting to know .. can the AEM be configured to do this .. use your CEL as a knock indicator.. Please advise with directions.

+1 on a IX!!!! i know my friend with the old bug eyed WRX had it!!! but he wasnt on AEM

It's been a while since I did this but I'm pretty sure this is how you do it. Somebody correct me if this isn't accurate.

Using AEMPRO press Control-O, find LS10 ALTSWT. Set the value to ON.

Find LS10 SWITCH, set the value to SWITCH #7 ON.

GO to SWITCH #7 ANALOG IN, set the value to KNOCK #1.

Move down the SWITCH #7 ON ABOVE, and set that value to whatever voltage your knock retard table starts pulling timing.

I don't know if this would work on a IX.

crap .. Im already using programmable switch #7 as a map switch and boost switch... But yah that is pretty accurate

This doesn't really work though, since the knock signal threshold is not a constant value. You will have it trigger too early or too late depending on where you define your switch #7 threshold.
