aem ems affect gas gauge??

aem ems affect gas gauge??

does the aem ems controll the stock gauges such as the gas gas speedo and tach? the fuel level gauge is not working properly. Its reading empty when its only 4 gallons low. anyone experienced this? Thanks

Yes, this happens, you need to disconect 1 pin, but I forgot which one. search

If you pull pin #74 from ecu harness the gas gauge will act normal again.
Why you ask does pulling pin #74 make everything normal again?
The fuel level signal goes to both the dash and to the EMS at pin 74. That input on the EMS is setup for an EGT input so the pullup resistor inside (Pulled up to 5V) may cause an offset on what the gauage says. If you leave it in, you can monitor the fuel level by looking at the EGT#1 input voltage.
