AEM 1320 (IX) and AEM wideband gauge problems

I am running the AEM 1320 (non-uego) and i have a AEM wideband gauge that i am running on my evo ix.

The aem is not showing the same A/F as i see on my gauge, more like half the reading (7.4 @ idle)

Here is how i wired it:
-White wire from gauge goes to pin #71 (white wire) <lambda #1> on ecu harness / AEM

I have the setting in the AEM for O2 #1 set to "AEM Guage" - i've tried a few other gauges to see if it makes a difference but without any luck.

A side question, does the AEM run in a closed loop at idle, or does the o2 sensor have no effect on the idle? i can't get my idle below 1800rpm.

thanks

Joel

i cant find my notes that i used to wire in my external aem wideband, but search on here or on aempower.com

it's pretty straight forward.

if your seeing 7.4 within your aempro, open aem pro, connect to your ecu, go to configure / units / afr units/ click on anything other than afr gasoline / hit apply, then click on afr gasoline, hit apply, then ok.

its either the gauge is not set to afr gasoline or your aempro is not configured correctly yet, as it is new or has had new softaware installed recently.

it sounds like your idle settings are not yet set-up correctly.

are you running v1.19? if so, here is a template i like to use to log onto my pc with.

unzip this file, install it within aem/aempro/templates. llok for it in aem pro/templates/run/hit open & assign a button to it for future refrence.

when logging onto your laptop, you need to keep this window open @ all times while logging. i have collected bogus data if i swap between windows while logging.

if you want to get some data, get you aempro connected to your ecu, hit f6 = starts logging, then fire up your car, let it idle drive around whatever. hit f6 when you want to stop logging. save the file as the name of your cal file. if you collect multiple logs on the same cal file, put "_1" "_2", etc at the end of the file name & input notes after you hit ok within the note window that opens after you assign a name to your file.

if your diligent about doing this to all you logs, you will collect a useful database, otherwise, you'll never know what file was used with the log data you collected.

i think people should use a similar method when trying to diagnose a problem. log data is awesome, as it generally tells a better, mre accurate story than what you can recall.

anyone have a decent EVO IX cal file that idles decent? or what are you doing to get a proper idle... i'm getting tuned on friday, i just like to learn this kind of stuff for myself.

also, which injector settings should i choose for 880cc precisions? closest i saw was RC 900cc so thats what i chose.

I am going to change my injector setting to the FIC also, as i noticed the RC's were all at 3 ohms.

it seems to be correct. i had it street tuned on evoscan and the afr's seemed pretty close to right on...
i can see changes on it when i change areas in the fuel map with the aem. i'd have to verify it with another wb02 to be 100% certain.
