You have to give us a little more details as to what's going on during cold start up so we can give you directions.

when the car has been sitting in the cold for a while, it is very hard to turn on. i some times would sit there for a good amount of time trying to crank the car on.

Who is tuning your car??? I was having problems with the cold as well but you need to play with the cold start tables. This is on a IX with FIC 750cc injectors

What helped me is bumping up the "RPM offset vs start table".

Adjust the "crank injector time table". I had the raw at 50 and moved it up to 120

Play with "start extra decay table" by adding some fuel.

Try this and see if it helps. There are allot of other fact that will affect you cold start but this should help.
