How much knock (V) is actually knock?

How much knock (V) is actually knock?

HKS 272,stock turbo evo8 and exedy twin disc.i set the knock cal table 2v over 3000rpm. how are your settings?

You really should set your own calibration, please read over at aempower.com on how to do this. It is not hard at all, just take your time and continue to listen and check plugs as you test to be absolutely sure no knock is present in your tune. The base cal file with the AEM will usually get you started and in the end you will probably end up with a high setting around 2 or 2.5 volts at 7k tapering down to around .5 volts or so before spool. Good luck


FYI if you have knock you will see a spike above your normal noise trend in your logs.

The car should be run through all RPM ranges under WOT load without boost and logged for base knock.

That base knock should be your knock cal table. Anything above that base knock on boost in that RPM is actual knock.

Atleast that is how I understand it.
