Wide band compatability question

I currently have AEM wide band gauge with sensor. After I purchase the AEM EMS will I need to get a different wideband setup for the EMS, or is the gauge type controller compatible? Thanks

No. Set it up as AEM (Gauge)

Your gauge type controller is compatible. There are instructions in your wide band and the EMS that will tell you how to hook it up. Basically all you do is run the white wire from the wide band to one of the pins on the ems and you are done.

#76. All this info is in the instructions. The EMS instructions are downloadable from the aem power forums if you don't have them already. I would suggest getting those and reading through them very carefully. If you don't understand what you are doing with the EMS, you WILL blow your engine up. After hooking up the Wideband, it will need to be calibrated to the EMS. You can search on how to do this or read the directions.

# 71 pin for an Evolution IX but only If you buy a AEM ECU without integrated O2 wideband "30-1320". The 30-1320U" AEM ECU has it already so there's no 71 pin in the ECU.

Some pinouts and instructions are here:

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,21880.0.html

ECU detailed instructions for specific AEM ECUs are here:

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,21539.0.html

Evos IX use the "EMS_-_30-1320.pdf"

Good luck.

Good call loppad. I didn't notice it was a IX. People need to remember to list that (or my lazy a$@ could look in the sig)

This information is EXACTLY what I've been searching for. Some people told me that the 30-1320 AEM could not be wired up with a wideband?! I said "no freaken way" and then I found this thread. Very cool. Since I have a stand alone AEM wideband and a 30-1320 AEM EMS this is just the info that I need!
