if i set boost control with vss to 20psi all the way and the hi/lo sw target to 30 psi and wg duty at 50%,not taking in account the error control,this means it will run at 20psi until i activate the switch and then move to 30psi?

 

yes,it works,but to increase boost response i modified the boost duty table ,higher % at lower boost to keep wastegate closed until target boost,this give a spike of 22-23 then go down to 20psi.

 

You're better off using the sw to target your low boost setting, this way you can utilize the boost control maps for your high boost setting and ramp boost etc.

When using the sw boost it overrides the vss boost map which may not be the best for your setup.
