Fuel Injector recommendations

I'm going to upgrade the stockers to 1000 cc injectors so I can run E-85. Any recommendations on the brand of injector to get? I'm looking for easiest compatibility to the AEM. The two brands listed in the Injector wizard are Precision Turbo and RC Engineering (that have 1000 cc). However the stock injectors are 3 ohm injectors (like the RC Engineering injectors) and the Precision Turbo injectors are 2 ohm. Is that a problem? Are there any drawbacks to one over the other? They are both similar price so that's not an issue. Are there other brands that will work? Thanks for the help.

We only use and sell precision injectors.. From my experience they are the most consistent.. if your considering using E-85 ever i would just buy the 1200's since your on AEM anyway..

In the injector wizard there isn't a selection for 1200 cc injectors. That doesn't bother me if it's not too hard to set up the injectors without the wizard. I was thinking about 1200 cc injectors but since there wasn't a wizard for it I was just going to get the 1000 cc. Is it pretty easy to set up the 1200s? Thanks.

Which 1200cc injectors would you recommend?

Mike,
How much for the 1000 cc and 1200 cc precision turbo injectors? They plug into the original wiring harnesses I assume. Thanks.

The will plug right in. I would use PTE or FIC injectors. Mike at AwdMotorsports sells them.

I think you are right about the 1200 cc injectors. I have a buddy with an evo 9 turbo and 272 cams running E-85 on 1000 cc injectors and if he pushes it anymore he'll be getting close to 95% duty on them. How easy/hard is it to set up the 1200 cc injectors in the AEM?

You need to update your Wizard File

Save the file above to the directory listed below.

C:\Program Files\AEM\AEMPro

Thanks for all the help guys. I loaded the new wizard file and sure enough, the 1200's are there. However it leads me to another question (I searched for some info but didn't find alot).

The 1200 cc options in the wizard has either a 10 ohm resistor pack installed or a peak and hold driver. After searching I found some people who said that the driver was necessary, some said it wasn't. Can someone explain why it would or wouldn't be needed at the 1200 cc level and not the 1000 cc level if both the 1000 and 1200 are both 2 ohm injectors? Thanks.

I'm Almost 100 percent sure that PTE 1200cc w/ 10 ohm resistor park is the correct Wizard. That might be a typo. I would call AEM ask the tech. See if they can explain.

After doing some reading on the wiring that the Evo uses, that was my conclusion. Thanks for the help.
