MacBook w/ Parrallels running XP....

Anyone interfacing with this laptop setup? If so, what are your thoughts...pros and cons?

My whole house is Mac and has been for the last 7 years and I have a spare MacBook that I'd like to run in my Evo as dedicated box.

Thanks people.

I am able to see the ems with my macbook running parrallels. I have a series 1 aem. I had to try different cables to get xp/parrallels to see the cable though. Once the drivers are loaded with the cable it will see the ems. I can load maps and screw my tune up pretty good with my macbook...so it is possible. I use my netbook acer though most the time, its just easier and thats all I use it for. Hope that helps any.

I have done the same. MacBook Pro w/ Parrallels to WinXP. USB-to-serial converter to serial cable from the EMS. I think I went through about 4 or 5 USB-to-serial convertors until I found one that worked consistently. Forget which one I finally settled on.
I'm working on a new solution that should be pretty sweet. I'll post more when I get it working though.

Alum, MB on bootcamp running xp got my serial to usb at radio shack. Having no button to right click isn't so great, I downloaded drivers so when I press the control button and click it makes a right click. Ill be going to a Craigslist netbook soon, the right click thing drives me crazy and its kinda a pain to use a mouse in the car especially with the 2 usb ports already in use with the wideband and tactrix cable.

You should be able to select this setting without downloading new drivers on Macs. I believe it is under the "Mouse" settings under system settings. There should be a check box you select if you want to be able to CTRL click and have it right click.
