just installed aem and the car wont start

bone stock 03 gsr, put a used 1313 in. loaded the correct maf cal, set the tps and went thru all the stuff in the instructions. car cranked and fired a couple times but not enough to actually run. i noticed the coolant temp was way off so i checked all the sensors in the cal and made sure they were correct. the coolant temp is now reading correct, but it wont fire at all, just cranks. i dont have the uego, just the stock o2 sensors, but i dont see how that would keep it from starting. ideas?

Did you set your base ignition timing? After that you might need to add more fuel to the map to get it to stay running.

ok, got it running. besides a blown fuse the base map is absolute garbage. not nearly enough fuel to run the engine. i had to bump up the idle portions of the base fuel map a lot.

i appreciate it! its my first time with an aem, but i got pretty familiar with my hydra on my sti and this isnt too different. im sure ill need some tips here and there. today im going to put the wideband in so im not flying blind. for now im getting it dialed in on the stock motor so when i drop my built 2.2L in i can dial it in for break in.

Also I would get on the AEM forums, and do some reading there. Be sure to read the Cold Start and Idle thread on here.

Get that ***** switched to Boost Comp.

do yourself a favor, get yourself a map sensor, o2 sensor & ait wired in & have fun. rre or speed lelment have inexpensive map sensor adapters. you want that sensor mounted on the intake mani, not 4 or 8" away via some small boost line, othewise there is a pretty sizable boost signal delay.

what are your mods? maybe someone can shoot you a base map that they already have if the mods are similar.
