Only to AEM EMS Owners
I would like to get your coments about the ecu.
1) How would you rate drivabilty compare to stock 1-5?
2) Does the car crusies better or equal to stock?
3) Anything you dont like about it?
4) Give an overall score from 1-5?
Thanks

Driveability=5 Its just like stock
Cruising is Equal to stock
The only thing I don't like is the start- It takes longer than with the stock ECU, and Myself and others are having some trouble when it is cold. When it is warm....no problem.
Overall rating=4.75 The EMS makes mass amounts of power

Cold start needs some tuning done, depending on the climate. But that is the same for all standalones.
Taking longer to start - 2 seconds longer is OK

3) Everything is great
4) 5
Even shops that are doing the HKS FCON V Pro agreed that the AEM is as good as the V Pro, probably even better
Nitrous control, enhanced boost control, etc...George

George, would you agree that the only better part of the fconv pro is that it does retain the oem ecu, therefore, no problems with cold starts taking a bit longer?

The AEM and Autronic both take several seconds extra (2-3 sec extra). It is usual with all the standalones, processor time...
I am sure Motec starts faster... But it is $$$$$$.
But how many times do you have to start a day?
I will put a clip of a EVo starting with the AEM EMS:-)

George, the FCONV PRO does not replaces the oem ecu, Mr.Koyama from Jun was here in Panama and installed 3 of those and they work together with the oem ecu.

I have seen it on cars...

It depends on if you get one with the built in wide band o2 sensor or not. Hard to say the actual price. I have heard that the prices are going up from AEM to the dealers soon. I guess their overhead cost are getting higher.
Think about getting one now if you are going to, might save you some money?

Either way, the AEM is still the best standalone on the market and at the best price.
We have them for $1520, and we have 4 coming to us in the next week or so. We will be able to sell them at the old price of $1520, because we ordered them last week
Let us know if you need one...
