Rough idle after 2 step
Rough idle after 2 step
every time i hit the 2 step on aem series 2 and then let the throttle off the car has a rough idle for few seconds and then cleans.. it pops some fires and i want to keep them...any ideas or theories ???
i had similar issues.....my fix was to run less retard. this was on series 1.
1 thing to note, some of this stuff doesnt come up in a file compare....at least on series 1.
it has been years since i messed with them..so here is what i see / found.
main rev limit & 2step wizard: set to level 3... i think they are the same, but just confirm both are set the same.
for some reason, i beleive there is more, but i dont see anything within the compare....
also, if you use NLTS, no lift to shift, do your self a favor & reduce the base rpm limit settings to what your rev limiter is set to. if you have 12k in your nlts, then that will be your rev limiter during nlts. some people will say otherwise, howeever i have seen different.
do yourself a favor & make it the same. it's only a few key strokes!
oh, set your 2step to where peak torque is at.....4k is plenty high imo..... dont know how people get away with running higher...
