Infinity - BISS screw
Infinity - BISS screw
im trying to get the BISS screw set correctly and obviously because the car is on the Infinity Evoscan is out of the question. If I unplug the IACV with motor cold 1st thing in the morning with a good known tune the car should start and idle so I can quickly adjust the BISS as needed correct? so I can then turn off and reconnect the IACV to move on to the idle table within the infinity software. I've searched this up and down but only coming up with Evoscan method, I'm a 2.2L with R2 cams, im currently all the way open (screw flush to top of adjustment hole) is that known to be too much to cause start\idle issues? I have not been able to try it yet, looking to see if someone has had experience on a good starting point or if its straight trial and error.
Flush with opening would be too much air entertaining the throttle body. It could cause high and erratic idle. Injector size will play a role in how easy the car starts and idles as well.
A good start point would be 4 to 5 turns out from fully closed.
The idea is that you want to allow just enough air in that the ISCV can fully modulate your idle.

I have FIC 2150's, i will try 4 1/2 turns out and pull the IACV out of the throttle body, using the software find halfway and unplug it so it doesn't move (emulating Evoscans SAS mode) then re-install it and try to fire it still unplugged seeing how it idles
Give it a try and let us know how it goes. I would try and adjust the biss with the car already warm at first. I just switched from FIC 2150s because they were really too big for the size turbo I had. They did not cold start nearly as well as smaller injectors. Once the car is warmed up they idle just fine on 91 and E85.
