E85 Tune = +59 Hp & +97tq

I'll be documenting the various stages of tune on my setup running E70 & E85. I'm now up +121hp / +134tq over my previous pump 93 tune w/ the 50-trim. The current setup is pretty much maxed as I don't think I can squeeze much more out of the turbo/stock block. I have deleted older graphs in order to make room for the new ones. I will document the power production of my new build; I'm hoping the HTA3582 can push me over 650whp in DLL .
Current Mod list at the bottom.

Added 2/28/09:
32psi / E70 / 17 degrees up top (90% IDC / 2330Hz airflow) (+121hp / +134tq)

Latest tune v. Pump Tune

30 psi / E70 / 2 degrees more up top (+121hp / +114tq)

32psi / E70 / 15degrees up top (+88hp / +123tq)

Good numbers. You are one of the first 50 trim guys I have seen going past the usual 26-27 psi. Welcome to the corn crowd too.

I want to push this turbo as far as I can until I upgrade; it's great on pumpgas but loves the corn even more

Nice! What's your Peak IDC so far on those 1150s? You said idc was around 80% at 422hp, what's it now with 500+?

The IDC's were around 80% at 450whp and now they are around 86% on a single Walbro at 500whp.

I would say so, I almost wish I would have gone w/ 1450cc injectors just to have some more headroom if I go a lot bigger down the road. I'm going to be doing a double pumper and probably a FP Red for the time being. If I can push that to 575-600whp in DLL I would be happy.

You've got that right, I can't wait until I get the good E85 and not the winter blend we have right now

Looks great bro! Not often do you hear about big # 50 trims.

You should stop by the shop in the spring. Would like to see how your monster runs.

Nice numbers. This makes me want to retune away from the 110 octane I've been blowing $$$ on. I dont think my 1000cc's would cut it though.

Why change to the Red?

Thanks Jeff. If you're still on the 3065 I would imagine that you would need a double pumper and probably 1250-1450cc injectors to run E85 at maximum power potential. The 50-trim flows ~50lb/min and I believe your turbo is around 60lb/min. I want to change to a Red to get both more power and better lowend. I'm still doing research to see what the max power potential is, but it looks like high 500 - low 600whp is attainable.

Thanks Dave, I definitely need to stop by and chat it up. The Evo is going to need a nice detail after this winter. I was talking w/ your bro and we're going to try to hit Byron sometime this year.

Cant wait to see what kind of numbers you will do when the pumps change from E70 to E85. Is there a certain date this happens or will you just monitor your tune to see when it changes due to the switch? Any problems starting in the cold? That seems to be the typical problem.
