Most of the people that see my car tell me one thing... "that's my dream car". Why do you think this is so?

 

For us here in Canada, because we can't get it.

I agree. Notice the number of Evos running the streets, the numberof Evo meets since 1999, and the number of 10sec Evos in this little country of ours. I'd say it is every Filipino tuners dream car together with the Nissan Skyline GTR.

 

that was me-been dreaming of it since the evo iii. thats why when it came out here-i traded in my show winner rsx s fot the evo viii

 

My Evo is actually my friend's dream car. He grew up in the PI and was a street racer back then. He owns a couple of DSMs and I beat him to the Evo. He's not pissed but maybe a bit jealous, but then, he's married, has a house (garage!) and a baby coming. I still think he's one up on me.

To answer your question why, cause Mitsu has been a fixture in the Philippines for a very long time, so everyone has experience with their products growing up there. I guess growing up in Detroit, I didn't really know much about the Evos until the Gran Turismo craze and until buying my old Impreza RS. We did have a yellow Lancer back in the Philippines in the 70's-80's for our family car...so getting the Evo is like a homecoming. I would have gotten the Lightning Yellow too, but another friend already has it.

 

I'm still dreaming of my dream car......Porche Turbo.

depends on which group your talking with kung Honda Club Phil --> ITR, NSX, S2 or CTR. kung nissanbayan --> skyline GTR.
kung club mitsu PH, the first autoclub that i joined b4 going w/ HCP via CTR hehehe ,syempre lan-evo as of the moment tiis muna b4 i could get my hands on the lan-evo VIII RS

 

Well, pinoy ako, and the Evo was my dream car until I sold my tricycle, my jeepney, and sacks of shaboo.
