Anyone here from Taiwan?
Now if you guys really want to ship an EVO to TW, try to get the IX and do it since TW doesn't HAVE IT!! Whahaha
Shipping it back to there first you'll have to go through customs, both US and TW
then tax on both US and TW, shippingwise it's cheap- at least for me it is. It's just the taxes thats killing you.

my friend figured out for his Z
it would cost around 50k NT, including tax shipping and everything, and paper work to get ur car out of the states
so 15k US dollar?
he called custom in TW and asked all these
if u have modification, like emision stuff
it will de different, or even illegal in taiwan
so i just wanna find out wut kind of modifications are still okay to clear custom
wut's not............and if not, how to work around it
things like engine mod, exterior mod, ground clearance......etc
does anyone know? Derek888? AzBlackEVO8?

I really dont know about importing cars into Taiwan. I would ask the customs and find out more. If your worried about mods I would think the most important thing would be the exhaust for emissions?
Well it all depend on the customs when your car arrived in Taiwan. If they're strict most likely they will look for everything on their list to see if the car pass the regulation to drive in Taiwan, for what I have heard there are the typical things they look for.
- Ride height, cannot be too low, how low is too low... about at least 19in off the ground from the headlight.
- Exhaust, must have a cat but they can be really dicks about your exhaust if it's extremely loud.
- Interior, everything must be in place, seats, dashboard.. nothing very hardcore like a full 10 point cage, striped interior..
As long as you don't have anything illegal like drugs and weapon, they will let you slide with either $$ or give you chance to let you make your car to their standard. Hope this helps
How do I know? well I have connection with the TW shipping company and already had couple of my friends/relatives cars back to TW and they are:
03 RSX Type-S
02 Celica GTS
93 Nissan 240sx w/SR20DET
01 BMW M3

finally got my alky kit tuned
After talking to numerous tuners and people in Taiwan no one has heard of alky injection. I finally found a tuner who was nice enough to sit down and discuss about alcohol injection. The shop I went to is JUN Taiwan, the owner of the shop is the one who tuned my and he did a badass tune for his first time tuning alky. We got the car to boost 26 psi without any problems and the car pulls so hard its so much fun. You do get a little worried at WOT thinking what if the alky stops spraying...I am watching all the gauges like a hawk. We set the Power FC to flash the engine check light once it detects 35 knock on the Power FC, which is on the safer side knock level. Next week we gonna try and figure out a way to cut off boost once it detects loss of pressure from the pump lines. I think im the only one in this country with a alky kit....

Just to update on the shipping cost from LAX to Taiwan
Around $800 for everything. If you get a motor sports company to sponsor you. You may register your car as a *show* vehicle to avoid the taxes in Taiwan BUT.. yea there is a BUT.. technically you're not allow to keep the car in Taiwan. *show* vehicle must have a confirmed return date before you can ship it.
I'm very temptin' to ship my EVO back there drive it for a while and sell it... dream on... haha
