I believe all the Evo's are sold out here, maybe a few left but I doubt it. If you want to drive a Evo here I suggest you bring your own personal car back, its cheaper. I think the only way its cheaper is if its your personal car and you had it for at least a year then the tax wont be so high. Thats because they dont want bunch of people going out of the country, purchase it and ship it back to sell. You dont want to pay 53k for a Evo like I did. I had no choice because I wanted a Evo so bad. I think the Evo is worth it to ship back because its so dam rare. Theres no point of shipping benz or bmw because they are everywhere. Let me know if any of you guys ship it back... LETS ROLL!

Yeah, let's ship our EVOs back and roll out and get robbed or get shot at....LOL just kidding

there r loads of modded cars on the street in TW, most of them r crap, but sometimes u see really good ones
i just went back for xmas, there r some M3s and 911s, i saw a 911 turbo with techart kits, it was so bad assss, and boxter everywhere(don't know why these r so popular)............other than these, i saw countless of hondas, lancers and subbies.....never saw an EVO!!
Yeah, there are some nice modded cars up in Taiwan (bunch of imprezas n ****) but NEVER an real EVO.. all fake *** regular lancer wannabes.
Taipei ppl are so freaking rich buying cars at those prices.

I thought you were going to China? Anyways try this place and ask them about shipping. I think shipping the car will cost you around $1,500 only. Tax is another thing but they can find out for you because they have a branch in Taiwan. To be sure I would call the customs in Taiwan myself and confirm the tax.

Evo gotta be black, it's MEAN...... well silver & red are nice too.
Just like STi gotta be white. Thats the rule, according to me it is. hehe
yeah my cousin shipped her 2001 Celica GTS back to TW and it cost her almost $10,000. Like Derek said, shipping itself isn't much, but you have to pay dual tax (US and Taiwan) and in Taiwan, if you don't have a place to park, don't ship ur **** back cause it's gonna be a hassle. I don't know about China... should be plenty of places to park over there right??? hahahaa

Hopefully I get to go back to Taiwan this summer.

not much stuff for the Evo. What are you looking for? The only place that would have parts for the Evo is HKS Taiwan which are going to be over priced anyways. I think in Asia Hong Kong would be the cheapest.

Thanks Derek888. Looking to get some performance parts like cams, type R intercooler etc. Prices in Singapore sucks and I was wondering whether we could get group buys from HK for the rest of us Asia Evo owners cos when I go into the US Forum, these guys seems to be getting great buys.... So sad.... Cannot join in the GBs cos the freight charges would just kill us....

I doubt they give you any group buys. You shoudnt worry about freight charges in your country more like tax charges? Try buying everything at once and ship it by boat.
