simplest swap as far as wiring goes?
i have a 96 ce lancer and am thinking of doing a swap to either a 4g92 mivec or a vr4 from a galant (4g63t) mounting the engine in the car isnt a problem nor is a gearbox as i will be remaining fwd but whats concerning me is the wiring part of it, the car has a 4g15 in it atm so based on this fact which one would be the simplest to wire up, im not after hue power about 180bhp give or take would do me so any suggestions as to which one to go for is the mivec a fairly simple swap

if you do want to do a engine converson i would think that iether a
CE GSR 1.8t or
evo 4/5/6 2.0t
they would be the easiest swap and most worthwile engines in my oppinion.
i did a engine conversion on my CC GSR from a 1.8t now it has a evo2 2.0t.
and that was a fairly simple swap as far as engine conversions go.
im not sure exatally what is involved for the CE models (obviously you would need to swap the loom and ecu)some one here may have a better idea or, mabey try giving you local jap wreckers a call and ask if they know what is involved & what they have available

yea im after more power but id be happy with the 170ish from a standard mivec a turbo would be nice though, as i said im not too worried about mounting it, its the wiring that im worrying about the only conversion ive helped do was on a nissan and the engine harness just plugged into the underdash loom and the ecu was a straight swap, can anyone tell me if its the same for mitsus or is it a case of splicing them
