Unhappy Volk Racing Wheels -- HELP!

Hi Guys,

My car has 17" white volk racing wheels on it, anyway.. the other day the front right wheel started making a noise. At the start I thought it was just a stone or something making a scratching noise but it just got louder and last night became: The Worst Noise Ever.

Anyway I got home and basically the wheel had fallen off, only one bolt (of 4) was hand tight holding it on.. the others were all completely loose. I checked them the other day when it started just with my hand and they seemed ok.. but OBVIOUSLY NOT

Jacked it up, took off the wheel and now the bolts are now quite munted because the wheel has been wobbling around screwing them up.

but sadder is the fact that 2 of the holes in the rim have been enlarged a bit brake-side of the wheel because the wheel has been rooting itself more and more as I've been driving.

anyway, now I've tightened them up it seems ok again but my question is, does anyone know if the hole size is repairable/safe/won't happen again etc? I have no idea how the nuts became loose in the first place .. i'm taking it to the mitsi garage tomorrow to see what they say about it.

i dont think volk make these rims anymore so getting hold of just one should it be a total loss seems like its gunna be hard .. dammiT. Anyone know of where/who I might try if this is the case?

any suggestions really appreciated...

edit: well opinions of various wheel pros today was: as long as its on tight now and the nuts are ok, and it doesnt cause any vibration/noise now it should be sweet.. so fingers crossed its all good. Thanks for the comments guys

on a different note - something that came up today as i went round to different wheel places.. does anyone know what happens if someone welds your wheel and then say you are involved in an accident, would the insurance company pack a sad because the wheel had been repaired/modified outside its original spec?

Ah yeh, in case anyone cares/wonders (:P) the damaged stubs are being replaced, i'm getting some sleeves to go in the ovaled out holes and spent all morning hunting down suitable nuts, finally got some allen-key barrel nuts from ROH over at Northgate.

So! let this be a lesson to all - save yourself a big headache and check your wheels are attached from time to time!
