Just curious, how much boost are you guys running on our 98 Octane Optimax/BP Ultimate fuel?

Are any of you running Optimax Extreme 100 Octane yet?

Just curious what boost levels you're running safely.

 

i ran 28 psi on my gt-35r using vp-100 unleaded........ZERO knock. Everything was datalogged..... Ray

 

Nice! How much boost are you running on normal pump fuel though?

Is VP-100 a race fuel? Is it the same as Optimax Extreme's 100 RON?

 

Which VP100 fuel are you using - the new ethanol 100 fuel or the performance unleaded 100 fuel?

 

Performance unleaded. Its sold at the pump here for $5.49 a gallon. A bit pricy but good insurance for high boost. This is my normal pump fuel. I run nothing else.........

 

Ah so your in the states that makes more sense. I am the VP Dealer for Western Australia hence why I was enquiring.

We now use mostly the new VP100 Street Blaze fuel which is there ethanol version of the performance unleaded. Great stuff but unfortunatly bit too pricey for the majority of road people.

 

does the ethanol in the optimax extreem do any damage?

 

Nope... needs to be over the 10%... We did alot of research on this on EvolutionOZ my03 (well mrt and a few over companys. very interesting read).
