My mate with the RVR has this camelion (flip colour) spray can pack. It's like $90 for the primer, colour and secondary colour. We did a mate 180sx rocker cover, and it turned out awesome! Obviously it's not the same as pro-sprayed panel work, but it still looks cool. His was red with gold flip. The pack does 2m square. I'd use it myself, but i want a REALLY rich red.

 

I painted my dash and surroundings with a color changing chameleon paint, and it looks awesome when it changes color in the sun..here's a pic of what it looks like

poser, uur CC coupes only come out in blue or grey interior and i know exactly what you are talking about as I have had to change my inteiror to black as well. For the CC model you can get the GSR or EVO black dash and console assembly. Better than just painting your existing dash and console black. Also you can get other black parts incl kick panels, black door trims and various other trimmings to suit the CC coupe from a Proton Satria Gti. Very rare to find one wrecking however. You can also pick up power windows from a Satria to suit your coupe as well. Other Satria models like the Xli has some really dark grey (almost black) parts as well if you cant find a Gti wrecking. Better to buy black items than waste your money painting every so often and having scratches or peeling and crap all over the place. The rear side trims of the coupe however have no black replacement so you will have to use plastic/vynl colour dye in a spray can. Places like Super Cheap Auto etc sell them for about $14 a can. Works damn well!

 

where would i find the gsr or evo console and dash? can i use any evo dash or gsr dash ?

 

Yeah the all-black interior is much nicer then crappy grey, but it does need a little colour to set it off. I got "Touring Item Type S" red/black neopreen seat covers, and they really set it off (compared to the old black ones). I want to paint the gauge surround and side vent surrounds, a bright red... similar to the sparco race seats. A race wheel is on the adjender also.

 

I have a 2002 lancer gli and was wondering if anyone knows how to take out the top part of the dash, above where the steering wheel, glove box is etc, are there and hidden screws in order to take it out or is it far more complex, if anyone knows how id really appreciate any help

I too would like to know how to get the top panel of the dash off so that I can install a boost gauge there. A freind of mine pulled the dash out for me when we were installing the new loom, but I can't remember how he did it.

Is there a way to pull the top panel off or do you need to pull the whole dash out??

 

i think youd find that theres an easier way to do that..

find where the loom goes into the firewall, ad an extra hole for the cable, then feed it through.. the pass it through just under the dash, where you can hide it, take the vent out on the drivers side that is on the window, and feed the cable through the hole.. that how installed a boost gauge in a guys CC GSR.. **** easy..

 

I want to position the boost gauge on top of the dash where theris a dint in the design of the dash, just above the clock. I would also like to install a oil pressure guage as well, so taking the top off the dash would be an advantage. Can it be done without removing the whole dash??
