I can't tell you what you should do or not about getting the RPW turbo... but I will tell you why I am not going to be upgrading to the new Turbo Lancer... the engine capacity is one a 2.0lt vs a 2.4lt.... it is still a better option price wise vs the new Lancer... new Lancer plus turbo is about $30k the new '08 Lancer is going to be in the mid $45k - sure you get a factory warranty.. and it has AWD but you will still need to upgrade the new '08 to be as fast as mine will be in a few months time....
maintanence is going to be exactly the same regardless of if you have a bolt on or a factory turbo oil changes will always be around the 5000klm mark

I love my car I really can't imagine getting into the new '08 till maybe 2010... but by then my interests may of changed and I would most likely get a evo of some kind

i also want a turbo car....hmmm

also it depends on where you stay. For instance in SA, if you turborise your car, you better make sure you dont get busted or else you get defective sticker...... Getting the car inspected is a whole different story.

As for me, i DO want a turbo cos i dont have one. However, getting an 08 lancer might be a bit too pricey for me. I might get a 2nd hand evo 9 or 10 cos by then, i hope the prices would dropped significantly.

mmm....
ill see about the turbo later, but most likely stay with my car, but another reason to change would be to get a manual ...

anyways, what im looking at now it just a few minor mods to give a few extra ponies and torque for the time being.

been looking at SRI, couldnt find any on RPW or when i went to autobarn, but i think i might get that and a UD pully.
also a exhaust
im gonna prolly start another thread in ralliart

nah not a cannon, something nice to give it a little growl

Amen to that bro....cannon is for the ricer bois.........

I have been looking at a simota one, it replaces the stock one we have but its much better than stock of course. When i get it installed, me show you some pics.

i suppose you would get some heat shield going with that SRI. What is the coppers like in vic? Exposed filters can get us busted here.....
