my gf had some trouble with the site too, you actually need to live in NZ and have a NZ bank account to use the site to its full potential. A lot of sellers only accept bids from people with verified bank accounts which means you need a NZ account. My gf had to find someone who was willing to accept paypal or another method of payment. if you're keen try contact the seller and purchase it outside the website, not recommended though because then you're not covered by their insurance stuff, so if you get scammed there is nothing you can do about it. I'm in melb btw

you do know that our friends (see scumsucking lowlifes who haven't done an honest days work in there lives) in customs will still rape you with import duties for anything you bring over, even from NZ. Which sucks. apparently they get awesome import cars there on the cheap.

There isnt't the grey import taxes in NZ that Australia has. !

A mate bought a heap of stuff off Trademe.co.nz recently (last month!, he lives in melbourne) , and had a mate in Aukland collect it all for him and ship it over using DHL. Customs certainly did as u said --- ripped them a new one, and charged them around $600 on a declared $1400 worth of parts. Keep in mind that it was mostly bits that cant be found in Australia, and worked out a lot cheaper than buying/bidding on Yahoo Auctions Japan through an importer. Eitherway, customs got their money's worth as they werent expecting to have to pay that much!

Oh for sure, I recently saw this when I was inquiring on getting the Evo IX front bar from Accolade and customs would charge almost what the part would cost to "inspect it". Its solid fibre glass for crying out loud. If it was an exotic wooden box full of plant material from South America, fine I can see the reasoning. But around half a grand to look inside a box, walk the sniffer dog past somehow seems criminal to me. I mean, they are paid government employees from a tax payer funded department - why do they need more of my money. I am getting really angry again just thinking about it.

Bloody oxygen thieves.
