Cheap Upgrades ????????????

Hello,

I have a CE Lancer 2001 Auto, with exhaust etc. My question is what is a good way to give my car a cheap upgrade with more HP.

I thought about buying one of those mods of the ebay which is around $100 AUD but I was reading that I might hurt my car with the fuel intake ETC.

I was also looking at the apexi but thats around $600 AUD for the computer and then installation but that will void my warranty.

As my car is still under warranty till next year, I want to find a cheap upgrade that will allow me to get some etc HP with out voiding the warranty.

If there are any ideas, please let me know & any ideas about the MODs on ebay ???

Thanks
Jason

Power costs money, you won't get much noticeable increase without spending big $$$

and that ebay thing is stupid, if you want to do it, just get a 3 cent resistor and put it on the fuel sensor so your car runs rich all the time

Sorry eze can you run that past us all again. Can you control how rich it runs? From what I know the standard computer is useless but if you know some special tuning applications please fill us in.

Nah, sorry I don't know much about it, but that's the general idea. I dunno if it actually works (I'm guessing for $5 it's just another ebay scam).

So what do you think of it? i am going to get a 2 1/4 " exhaust and a K&N ram pod intake, then i was going to put one of those in there, hoping for a more power

What do you think ?

sorry im not very technical and i dont know the ins and outs of it -- i only know what i read from the site and it could all be bogus..

they sell it well anyways... if it was about half the price i would seriously consider it -- its interesting that ts $160 and they clearly say no moving parts.. just a hunk a metal.. but thats my thinking anyway
