Suspension

I have been quoted the following by pedders for my back suspension, lowered 20-30mm.

$164.00 a pair for sports coils and $374.00 a pair for gas sports shocks.

Is this a good price ?

Are king any better how much ?

Im only after a good handling, comfortable to drive for as reasonable a price I can get ! I dont know nothing about suspension so your suggestions are sought !Suspension

I got King Springs 50mm-60mm springs front and rear ordered in and fitted for $350
For $164 they would want to be good. I have heard of a few complants about Pedders springs. Super Cheap can get King Springs for around $140 a pair (depending on where you live)

Cheers

Yep, i would got them 35 dollars cheaper if i lived in Queensland where Kings Springs are made

I heard some things about Pedders suspension on the track, being they didnt sit like the kings when your out doing corners at 80-90 k's a corner, we tested this using my CC and a friends Excel with the Pedders kit 2 months later after mine steeled in, and you can diffintely notice the difference, and we even did the swap drivers test to make sure it wasn't just a drivers difference.

thanks for the comments guys,

I am going to get king springs for now and worry about shocks later, paying repco a visit this afternoon.

Next questions are how can you tell if the springs on the lancer are stock or not. Cause im sure the front of my car has already been lowered and wouldnt want it any lower as already have trouble getting out of my driveway.

How hard is it to install springs yourself ?

thanks

The springs are simple as to change, as long as you have a hoist and a spring tensioner.. takes a couple of hours to do, isn't that hard

usually if the springs are a different colour they are changed ( kings are yellow, koni's are red ?)(
