Cordia -VR4- 4WD

HI all, first post here massive forum!

Umm just after some/any info on a VR4/4WD cordia convertion.

At the moment have the cordia, VR4 motor, wolf 3d, FWD gearbox.
But thing is mate has just bought a VR4 front cut for his starion upgrade and has no use for the gearbox.

Can't seem to find any info on the standard 4WD cordia let alone a conversion like this.

Any info would be great!

Thanks

As far as I know there never was a 4wd Cordia. UR biggest problems would be the trans tunnel (Being front drive they don't have much of a one, allmost certaintly not enuff for a drive shaft), & also the rear suspension. I'd assume they'd be IRS, so that would likely have to be changed to accomadate a diff.

I thought of doing up a cordia myself b4 I got my Magna, but it just seemed like too much work. LOL

Yeah there hasn't been a 4WD cordia before, ive hadda check aorund the net for one.. im not quite sure if you'll fit the rear diff and tailshaft in... theres limited room, and you'll have to modify the rear suspension setup as well...

for sure ! im thinking bout selling my cordia as it is atm, all running, i was actually up to the panelbeating and painting stage before taking her in to get licenced.. the turbo's been rebuilt and the front buckets and rear seats are immaculate, its got monroe shocks.. only want like 450 bucks for it.. its the AC model, with a TC06 bolted on ( stock they have a TC05), and its running 11 pound boost at the intake.. 3 inch after the cat exhaust and stuff.. i think $450 is good, since the turbo rebuild cost me $300, and its only done like not even 3 km's of tuning..

Okay, closest i can find is called a Tredia.. I asked a good friend who is a Cordia fanatic, and he said this is what he knew bout them at this site..

http://www.turbocreations.com/cordia...ooltredia.html

There's quite a bvit of info in there bout it..

Also, just type in www.cordiaturbo.com and you'll find a cordia site, plus they have bits on Scorpions, Turbo Pigmas, Starions the whole lot..

I think that would be the best and safest option.. i mean, you could meet it at sydney and drive it across the Country, but that would cost you an arm and a leg, and it would have to be reregistered twice.. once for NSW, and then another for WA..

I think the container is a good idea.

Yeah but would cost like $3000, they would have to steam clean everything, department of transport fee's etc. That is why I thought if other ppl wanted to get some gear over it would be cheaper!
