To those who think you can't drift in a FWD, might see about contacting Rhys Millen www.rmrproducts.com

Of course, the FWD can not use throttle to drift. Instead, releasing the throttle causes it. Other methods include trail braking and the ebrake (if the ebrake alone isn't working, try throttle while ebraking). It also helps to overinflate the rear tires, and of course put front camber, rear sway bars, etc.

And to reinforce the statement, please keep it on a track or controlled environment. Thanks.

or is it an accesory to drifting only?

oh by the way did anyone go to the perth autosalon this year???
it rocked :P saw a nice evo 5 and there was a lancer glxi sedan that had a crap load of mods done to it. turbo, inter cooler, bucket seats, bov, and i think a mivec engine or a stock evo 4 engine

plus i saw a skyline r32 on the dyno
it pulled out around 700hp at the rear wheels!!!

I've had my Mivec Mirage sideways a few times, and there are 4 ways to do it.
1. gravel or grass steer one way and then the other no need for the e-brake
2. With the e-brake, worst way on tyres and least controlled.
3. Power off, Scariest and least drift. This requires lots of speed. come up to a sweeping corner with to much speed give it a slight opposite steer then turn in and come off the gas completly. the **** will come out if you we're going fast enough and if you want to keep it going you have to jump on the brakes. WARNING Don't do this with the girlfriend in the car she'll **** herself and leave.
4. The same as power off except when your going down a hill you don't need to steer in the opposite direction first as the **** is a lot lighter.

Again keep it on the track, closed road or field.

ps my fastest drift was a power off at 150 kph around a 180 corner, the **** came out and half way though regained traction, I was pointing into the middle of the couner and went into the dirt. Thank God for the track.

It is possible to slide the rear end out in a FWD car.

I think those Mitsu's that you saw were from the MOGWA car club and I think the EVO you saw was a 6 not 100% sure and yeah the other lancer there that had a mivec in it was it the rally looking one

You can in a way
I had an old pulsar and that drifted no worries with **** tyres to get it sliding
I now have a lancer coupe with directional tyres and it doesnt really wanna drift, it just hugs the ground( which i don't compain about) on the other hand my mate has a prelude and always loses control when trying to drift
it just comes down to all the contributing factors
