another question........... my friend has a 92 model toyota celica SX, and whenever we race off the mark he beats me.... is this just coz he is auto, or are they really just faster.
whenever we have a rolling start i am just infront...and it is pretty even.
arent the celica's a WAY heavier car?
i'd really like to shut him up and say "na na my car is not only faster but looks better to!!!"

Ahh Thursday nights... cops pretty bad up here Thursdays... they see shiny wheels... u likely to get pulled over

with those figures and the fact that the Excel is of (VERY!) poor quality, I'll have to agree with ya

Also, if you have the time (or can be bothered), could you fully explain what double-clutching is??
I've got the simple jist of it, but what's the real purpose (on specific race-car transmissions...I get the reason for trucks)?
And for "street" racing, with transmissions today, is there any point in double clutching?
