Go to Redbook
Very Quickly, from fastest to slowest:
- GSR (AWD Turbo, 4 Door)
- VRX (FWD, Non Turbo 4 Door)
- MR (FWD, Non Turbo, 2 Door)
- GLXI (FWD, Non Turbo, 4/2Door)
- VRX (FWD, Non Turbo, 2 Door)
- GL (FWD, Non Turbo, 2/4 Door)

Help that helps.

Cheers

For the current model lancers, the badging doesn't say much, coz (for example) the GLi Coupe can come with 1.8L or 1.5L engines.

All 1.8L engines in the Lancers (including the MR) are the same, meaning same power outputs, however MR comes with the tiptronic auto/manual shifter.

Check out the differences between each model at the Mitsubishi website: www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au

Previous years, in most cases:
between the GL and the GLi - same engine, different interior
GLi and GLXi - bigger engine, slight difference in interior.
GLXi and MR - same engine, big difference in interior and exterior.

Performance between the stock MR and stock GLi 1.8L, there would be very little difference....the quicker/faster one would more likely be the GLi coz of it's lighter weight. (but only slightly)

the gl is the poverty pack ! no power steering, no a/c, nothing electric...

i have one, hehe, cause you don't need p/s in a car that weighs 900 kilos !
and windows are better then air/con..
