btw, get a list of Ralliart dealers in Sydney and call them - someone may drop out and balk at actually handing over a cheque!

hmmmm.

Just a quick check - from another importer $55,857.46 delivered at your feet.
+Shipping cost + all the legals 3.5K
+Compliance 3K

ok, a little more than I expected, but this price was from a specialsed Jap exporter in Japan. I'm sure if you went for a trip you could find one cheaper .....

True, but then you've got to amortise the cost of the trip into the car's overall cost too! (unless you are offloading a bit of 'cash' on a holiday )

That 55.8K would of course also depend on the yen's situation at the time of your purchase, and it's been falling lately. I'm a little bit surprised that are bringing the Evo in for the price they are - I expected another 3K minimum.

Disappointing news: Unlikely to see my Evo until next week. They are still fitting them out with their radios and Oz spec gear. Slim chance for late this week, but probably next.

I'm confident it will be next week - i'm not as pissed off as you are mate!

btw, the tyres issue isn't something I think about - i'm quiet confident Mitsu will have put tyres on the car that are up to the job. I was expecting Pirellis though.

Yes we do get hallogen lights. I asked on the US forum how much a set of HID lights would be and here is the response:
