Exclamation I need help........

Hey,

Please help. I need some advice on modifing my lancer. I have a 99 1.6L coupe, and have put an exhaust and air filter on. Other than extractors (and turbo) what else can I do to make the engine faster?
Also what extractors do you guys suggest and how much it costs?

I haven't done anything to the body yet cos I don't want it to be all talk no action

Mitsiman

Go to www.rpw.com.au - go to the vehicle upgrades and click on Lancer 1.6 / 1.8 engine for options on upgrades.

Were there any 1.6 Lancer Coupes? I thought they only came in 1.5 or 1.8L...

Sorry if the question seems really basic...

NO in some other countries the Lancer came out with the 4G92 SOHC engine in it as well so there is the Mivec and Non Mivc engines out there.

No they were never an option, is is an obvious typo. To have that engine here in a car is very unlikely. For starters, there would of had to be a conversion done on the car, and who in their right mind would put that engine in???

No the engine was made available in the Phillipines, Singapore and other asian countries where in the USA and Australia we only had the 1.5 or 1.8 engine.

ALso some Eueropean countries ahve teh SOHC 4G92 engine as well over the 1.5 engine due to import taxes on engine sizes

I think you misunderstood me Mitsiman, I was saying it was not an option here in Australia. I DID know that the engine existed, but as I said before we did not get it.

you're not gonna get much more out of it without spending the $$$$

throw in a Evo iv motor or sell the car and buy a GSR
