skyline engine question

i know this a lancer forum, but just wanna know some info about skyline engines...
ok nowadays i've been reading alot about stroker kits for the rb26dett , bringin it to a 3l engine....
More people are gettin into these stroker kits and goin for a big single turbo conversion...
ok the question is...
why don't they use the rb30det found in vls... its already 3ls and its a single turbo.. saves them from gettin a stroker and removing all the dual turbo setup.....
the motor probably isnt' as agood as a rb26 i'm guessing, i dont know the real differencs between these engines...
someone enlighten me plz
thanks

yeah, also the vl i think was a lot heavier, and its got holden written on it...

did they use the skyline 'box and diff ?

my mate has one, she took me for a drive, but she got beaten by a wrx, dunno if this was 'female' driving or if the rex's nuts had been enlargened, cause i know she has done a turbo swap, and polished heads and lil tiddly bits like that, and biggerer exhaust..

I heard that Holden did a little work on the engine themselves and caused a few problems. Every VL owner I know has mentioned to me that the headgaskets fail at the 100000kms of use.

It is a very bad idea. The Holden engine is only realy related to the skyline engine. Holden owners like to think that their VL has the same engine, but they are kidding themselves.
