Can you give more details?

I need my clutch in my 6 changed soon. A mate of mine was going to do it.

If we do it, can we get the AYC realigned later?

You don't have to reconfigure anything to change a clutch in the Evo 6. Had mine done recently, does not disturb the AYC cause its only on the rear. Pretty straightforward but cannot be done easily only because on the point of dismantling of the gearbox housing from the engine block, the throwout bearing is attached on the clutch and has to be pried from a given open window that is normally closed with a rubber seal. If you've done it a million times, its relatively easy. If you've never done it, you will break that part. Get someone who has experience with it.

On the ACD for the Evo 7, yes you need someone who is even better to do a proper job because the subframe of this model is such a ***** to wiggle the gearbox out. Do it the conventional way and the subframe gets scratched and possibly dented. Most just drop the entire motor partially to do it easily but on my Evo 8 with the 6 speed box, its even harder.

I asked my mechanic about the clutch changing proceedure. In a rally they can change a Group N clutch in 45mins. That's with 4 people on the at once. For a customer with a single person working on the car, allow around 5 hours.
