I have a rubber pretective case that keeps if from sliding around, and I just place it on top of the ash tray lid, or I'll do the same sometimes, and throw it in a cup holder.

My girlfriend has one of those things, we bought the iTrip: its garbage. MP3 Headunits are whats good.

Unless you have the inputs to wire your ipod up, don't bother putting it in the car.

I have the inputs that connect it directly to my stereo. i agree using an fm transmiter is garbage, it sounds like crap compared to connecting it direct to your stereo.
trust me, an ipod is a lot better then an mp3 cd. You can go direclty to the song you want to listen to in seconds, and see what songs they are before you play them, so you dont have to keep skipping tracks. I cary 3200 songs with me everywhere i go.
