A Message to the EVO M Community
As of Recent the Evolution VIII vendor market has been very flooded with competitors. First off I would like to thank all of our customers whom have supported us over the past 3 years. As a consumer you will notice that shops such as AMS, Buschur, Vishnu, TurboTrix etc. Have benefited this community greatly. We all have a certain mission to make the EVO VIII the best car of its kind. Doing research and development such as this takes time and money, not to mention a big well-equipped environment to do it in. Products in this industry can be had from tons of different places. What AMS is asking is that when it comes time for that purchase you help out your local Tuners not the internet companies out there that are strictly in this industry to make a dollar. By spending that extra 5% on a part you are personally contributing to the advancement of this industry and keeping shops that care about your car in business. Companies that are solely internet based have little to no overhead and because of this they can sell products for far cheaper then the Tuners in this industry can. It is companies like these that are contributing to the slow decline of this industry. The Real shops in this business know the products they sell and offer technical support for them. I challenge you to get that from a company that doesn’t even have a storefront. Thank you for taking the time to read this and once again thank you for all your support.
Sincerly,
Eric Gaudi

Ok, I almost SH*T myself because of how the very begining was worded...sounded like you guys were closing! LOL
I'm a firm believer of helping out the guys that actually put time into designing a product, not just reselling someone elses stuff. If you don't actually use products in a "shop car" I will more then likely not buy anything from your company. Product knowledge, reliability, and testing speak volumes on what I purchase, which is why most of what I have now/plan on buying is pretty much 90% AMS stuff. You guys have always done great work over the years and I am definately sure you will keep up the great work well into the future.

seriously...... I have talked to my local shop several times about this (alamo auto sports , Arlington, TX)..... it is worth the extra money to get parts from local shops...because the are gonna be there in the end if you have issues or not.... i have tried the internet market a few times and it just hasnt worked out for me.... we also have lost a great ship here in the Dallas area lately...( wasabi racing) ...because of there loss of revenue because of interenet competitors.... one more state of the art shop gone...
good luck AMS>>>>

Just to put you guys at ease we are not in any kind of financial trouble by any means. We are just upset by the upstart of all these internet companies that could really care less about the advancement of the indusrty but rather making there pockets fatter

K, not trying to jack a thread...wasabi is gone? Ugh...was planning on visiting them sometime next year...oh well.
This is exactly the reason why Eric posted this thread. Wasabi was a great place...wonderful guys. People...seriously think about it for a while before purchasing something...do you want that personal touch that only people like AMS can give you...or do you want to speak to a guy behind a desk that doesn't even own a car anywhere CLOSE to what you're driving telling you what to do and how to do it? Hands down...gotta go with the people that will ALWAYS be there for you and that know what your car can and can't do!

Anyone concerned that AMS won't be around...don't be. They have been around long enough to be an "Established Tuner" of
cars so don't worry. They will be here in the spring...they will be here next year...and they will be here years down the road...AMS Isn't going ANYWHERE anytime soon (unless it's a bigger shop with a 4wd Dyno! LOL)
this is how things SHOULD work, however... at least most of us have more important things in our lives... (wife, kids, school, food, clothes) so a bargain is very helpful when one can be found.

Survival of the fittest. If the shop is good, they'll stay in business. I personally search for the best deals. Sometimes a shop will be lower than certain vendors and sometimes they wont. So, either way they get 50% of what i buy, anyhow.

50%!!!! is that what you think a shop makes as a profit margin!!!
Please research things like this before you post.
In this buisness 20% is the standard and that is Rapidly changing for the worse.
It is misconceptions like these that start rumors.
Just as an FYI AMS will not set up an account with a company unless they provide us storefront pictures and detailed information about there buisness. Its about maintaining the quality and support of our products

I'm down with AMS because when I walked into thier front door I was greated and had a face to face with Eric. It's that type of contact that makes me feel better about buying a product from tuner shops instead of some faceless person over e-mail.
