My friend did 455whp on Buschurs dyno @ about 29-31psi (I cant remmeber)...which ruffly equates to 550 on a dynojet...I still dont understand how there so different?? But this is what Ive been told and read on the threads. Anyways, car is wicked fast. He is on the 35r and stock bottom end. Car went 11.1 @ 131 at the DSM shootout. Im sure its being pushed, but the tune is solid and still somewhat safe from what he has told me. Car has survived all summer of racing on the strip and street. Granted its not always being drivin at 30psi, but usually it sees 25-27 daily on pump and meth.

455whp on Mustang dyno = 546whp on DJ.Your friend car have 561whp with a trap of 131MPH and 3200lbs according to physic. We will know when will the stock block start to break as Trinababe and HPF push it.My guess is 700whp,who know.K20A can handle 640whp!!Remember,this is a NA,Open Deck and Aluminium Engine!!

Just my 2 cents,

I had a T-67 about 1.5 years ago and I absolutely hated it. My boost level was only 18 psi and the spool up was slow as hell, low 5k rpm for fullish boost. Just a really bad life experience in general, especially since my tune was so-so at best even though I had a full standalone.

At great expense, I'm now back to stock + BPU + cams and I wouldn't go back if you paid me. I bought an Evo not Supra and this car is best when your hitting full boost fast and hard while coming out of a corner not on some highway glory run.

To each his own, but its worth a stroker if your going with the GT35.

I dont know where you guys are getting this magic dyno calculator. You CANNOT Compare dyno's. Even Dynos that are made by the same company. Untill you get the same car in the same conditions run on both dynos DO NOT SPREAD FALSE INFORMATION. This is getting really aggravating. Trap speeds do not lie. Get that car to a track with a good driver and the trap speed will tell the tale.

Mike, just for arguments sake What did your friends car trap?

As far as the topic in concerend the driveability of a GT35R on a stock block is just great. A 2.3 makes it nicer though...for obvious reasons.

Eric

Yep, dynos are for general tuning and fine tuning maps to compare them is !! Trap speeds are the real indicator of a car's power! It's like the guy here who dynoed at 570+whp and traps 128

Your conversion is inaccurate. 455whp on the Buschur dyno is roughly 510whp on a typical dynojet, not 550whp. Either way like Eric said, its sketchy to compare different cars on different dynos in different conditions etc. Only the traps and ET's tell the tale.

Was this a ball bearing version? Built motor? I want this turbo and if I get full boost at or near 5k, I'd be happy.

Eric I was just saying this is what i have been told...."Mustang dyno reads lower then dynojet"???? It did 455 on Buschurs that day we all met for the shootout. He ran 11.1 @ 131mph with a slipping clutch that day. 550 seems about right with his trap, which I think is good for a 10sec pass? Its emery's blue evo, you met him that day at Norwalk.

I wont post anymore lol

Yea all this mustang #= Dynojet # is is totally arbitrary. And any dyno can be configured to be a real heart breaker or a "happy dyno" And I know that these conversations will not stop. But please people dont think that just because its a mustang dyno that its going to read xx% lower than a dynojet.

561whp is according to 131MPH of trap and 3200lbs.I use a Horsepower Caculator.Dynojet is more accurate in my opinion.Another great example is Curt Brown.According to caculator,he made 764whp.His race weight is 2900lbs,run 9.3@150MPH.He dyno 650whp on DJ,add 20%,it will be 780whp.

Well the person who started this thread wants to know what the stock bottom end can handle..... I simply stated my friends car as a good example- Mustang dyno, dyno jet w/e, I dont think that really matters as much as the signs of detonation do? I dont think you would wanna push the car any farther then my friends @ 30psi with C16 in it. What would be the point? to make a few passes and then blow your motor? I would pass on that...Who cares what it can handle unless you have alot of money to blow something and then fix it, why would you want to find out? I think SAFETY would be a more important thing to find out.

I wanna make something clear too so that way were all on the same page... He doesnt drive the car at 30psi ALL the time so its not running 455 or 550 w/e the hell you want to say... Only with race gas + Meth and only at the track, once in a blue moon on the streets. Primarly that car see 100oct and Meth @ about 25-27psi. I dont think if he drove it @ 30-31psi everyday all day it would have survived all summer with the amount of street racing and track racing that car see's

And I think Eric would agree...But will find out - And I would second your comment on the 2.3

Jesus Christ you think theres a correction number for everything dont you. Those calculators can be wrong for so many reasons. Theres too many variables to say that XXX whp Will be xxx Trap, there are alot of things that attribute to a trap speed. Assuming, and this is a HUGE assumtion. that these calculators are perfectly calibrated to every car/setup/aerodynamic efficiency How do they calculate the driver? Elevation? track/air temp? And furthermore just because you make X Horsepower one day Doesnt mean your going to make the same horsepower some other day. Again air moisture, air temp, and other factors make a impact sometimes for the better or for the worse. Now, Can I have your dynojet run file?

Actually I was thinking about it, Why do AMS and Buschur even race? they could just build a car get the DynoJet # Weigh it and use your calculator and see whos the fastest! God that would save alot of trailering wouldnt it?
