Injector Sizing for 35R and 2.3

What is the smallest SAFE sized injector for the the 35r and 2.3 stroker? AMS customers: what size injector are you running?

Edit: I already have the AMS lower intercooler pipe. The kit comes with another one that is kit specific, right? I guess I have an AMS lower IC pipe for sale...

I'm interested to hear this as well. I calculated fuel consumption rates at various boost levels at an assumed AFR and chose 850s. I'm pretty sure those will support 25psi of boost at an AFR of 11.2:1 and IDC of 85%. There was a fair amount of guess work for me since I have no idea what the VE of my new motor is. I assumed a VE of 100%.

I'll be using a boost compensation for tuning with an AEM EMS. I'll have a really good idea what my injectors will support once I map the VE at base boost. I'm thinking IDC should scale fairly linearly as boost increases.

I'd go with 1000's that should give you enough injector

It will give you enough, but is it really needed? I would personally rather have a smaller injector that can open and close faster at slow speed, to retain a smoother idle.

I wouldnt go any bigger than the 850s, and probably even less than that, but thats just me.

for you Xede Guys I would recomend 880's with AEM it isnt that big of a deal. IE: I idle at about 13.0:1 but I have noticed the Xede doesnt like an injector that big

Bigger does not mean better. Bigger injector will cause slow throttle response (you don’t need that).... I would not go with anything bigger than 750cc

when the injector is maxed out it does mean better. on my personal car with a GT35R I put down 615 whp with 880cc injectors....I cant run anymore boost because I am at 100% duty cycle. Its all relative to how much boost and how much HP you want to run.

For most of you guys an 880 would be just fine. If you are planning on staying under 25 then a 780cc would do the trick. Its all relative.

I am using 1000cc injectors with the AMS fuel system to go along with it... The car runs great and there are not any fuel issues anymore... Before the fuel system upgrade the 1000cc injectors were maxed out...

This is true; I have a 2.3L , oversize valve , 272s with an HKS GT3037s kit and have to be leaning out the A/Rs at 32psi using 720cc inj stock FPR , 104 unleaded and Methonol inj.
