ok so im a little upset right now and this has nothing to do with AMS personally at all so dont think that guys. This is just the best place for me to explain this whole story. so were at gary and schick wich is a place near by where people chill with cars or whatever. These group of guys keep coming up to me trying to race me over and over all night and it seems like they have been doing that **** for the last 3 weeks. I have an EVO 8 with some mods and is capible of running a 12.2 in the 1/4 maybe faster maybe slower depending on how I drive.. so my car is not slow by any means.. maybe not fast but not that slow. So they have this RED AWD talon that they just keep persueing me to race them and what not. So make a long story short we finally just raced so we lined up and the kid points to us and he Launches before anything even happend so me like a dumb *** launch like 3 sec behind him and let off after second gear demanding a re race because he stole the hit and Blately told me that was the plan all along was to still the hit from me and cheat the race. I know that there out there to make money whatever im not worrie about the 50 bucks I lost.. it takes me one hour to make that much thats not my point. Im not trying to start any trouble with AMS at all because Eric over there has treated me very well and Im thankful for that but this guy is not good advertisment for a shop of there level. They do amazing work on DSMs and EVOs and make cars fast enoufgh to win without cheating the way this guy did. And I know street racing is street racing but thats not my point. AMS is a great shop ran by great guys with fast cars. Not cars that have to cheat to win oh yea and if your reading this " the guy with the RED talon" why wouldent you 3rd gear roll me after when I followed you for like 20 min .. mm I wounder maybe cause you knew I would beat you if it was fair

haha, I'm pretty sure I know that guy. Take comfort in the knowledge that he had to steal the hit becuase from what I hear, he's a lousy driver.

So you don't think he should be allowed to put their stickers on his car? And you think they have control of this?

And a chase is a race, everybody knows that. You were crazy to have moved after him and I would have had a good laugh at your expense watching you wait at the line, then gun it through 2 gears only to demand another race afterwards. Sure, it sucks that the guy did that to you, but worse things have happened.

Yea I know.. I wasent going to pay him until I got surounded by probly at least 35 of his friends all yelling at me and **** to give him the money and what not. And yes the comfort is there that the only reason he can win is to cheat but hes a ***** and I want everyone in the area to know that. I just wanted to give the heads up to other EVO owners that this guy is most likely going to do the same **** he did to me last night over and over again. And yes thats a fair way to settle a race I agree and I wont be empty handed tonight

 

thats like getting kicked in the nuts... its a cheap way to win. screw it tho man its jus $50, plus it was just some punk *** kid. all i can say is that its a good night win or loose as long as nothing gets wrecked.

 

Yeah, thats ***ed up bro. I believe you would get your *** kicked for that sh*t around here. Theres a unspoken respect between street racers and that action proves they r just kids!

what I would of done is tell a friend to follow him home, call you, you meet up with friend, knock on his door all the while you have ur friend next to his red talon with a brick and some paint in a can and if he doesnt want to pay then just give the nod to your friend and **** up his car

Sorry you got hustled. I can tell you whomever you raced was a customer and not an employee. Lots of DSM's in the area run our stickers as do EVO's and I cant accout for everyone. I can assure you that WE would never do that. Here is a perfect example.

Last night someone in a talon of some sort wanted to race me for $500.00. Now I dont normally street race but when I am called out and its for that kind of cash against a car I KNOW I can beat it a bit hard to pass up. So I get to the spot and we talk a bit. Then come the questions. He asks me what I have done....strike 1....then he asks me if I work at AMS....strike 2.....then he asks me what the car runs in the 1/4.....strike 3. Now if he had been in say an LS1 and was being all cocky. Those answers might not of been coming out of my mouth. but here we had a customer. Needless to say I ran nobody that night for any money. There are a handfull of us here that engage in a little bit of illegal street activity but I can assure you NONE of us will hustle. I might be up at gary and shick tonight look for a white talon with AMS plastered all over it and we can talk. Take care

 

Thats good ol Chicago style B.S. hustling street racing for ya. I personally can't stand it. A cheat makes me want to pull him out of his car and beat him into the pavement.

I gotta get to know who the ****s are and who the straight people are because im not out there looking to take peoples money. I just enjoy cars and everything about them. I dont think those guys have any respect for anything and for that matter even care about cars.
