Street-Modified (TTB) Prepped Evo
Street-Modified (TTB) Prepped Evo
Guys,
Thought you guys would like a quick teaser of what I will be running next year in TTB (TimeTrial) and in some Street-Modified classes of SCCA.
Here is some vid from the Rock (Rockingham, NC) where I participated in their last event of the year. It was the final session for me to tweak my settings for next year. My tires now have over 12.5 hours of time on-track at this point, so to say they are shot, well that's an understatement. Yet, I was the fastest car in the DE/Instructor group, and in the top five cars for the event. If I would had my RA1's on, I probably could have come close to taking fast time for prepped cars, however, there was a 575hp Vette, tube race car which I don't think I could have run with, I could have gotten close, but I would have needed alot more speed in between the corners. Even though I may not have been the fastest of 'all' the cars, I was one of the most consistent on-track. I ran all the laps of a ten lap session within 1/10th of a second, and three of those laps were within .03 of each other. That says alot about the consistency of the car, and the setup on it.
Anyway, enjoy all, Thanks again Martin, Eric, John, and all the AMS crew. I couldn't have gotten this as far without you.
---BTW, this session I was only running 1.2 bar, low by most Evo standards, because I had no grip, and the car would blow off the tires going on the back stretch. I was also taking it @75% still working on my line. There was ALOT more in the car.

Rockingham, what was cool was they were filiming the movie, "high wide and handsome" a nascar spoof starring Will Ferrel. He showed up just as we were leaving on Sunday. They had these special golf cars for filming which would do nearly 50mph. Insane, security was flying around on them, they sounded wicked.
